Abstract

Aim. The article deals with justifying the method of technical and tactical improvement in student boxers, providing effective confrontations limited by the deficiency of time. Materials and methods. 56 boxers of various ranks participated in the study. All boxers possess different boxing styles: attacking – 16 persons, counter-attacking – 18 persons, combined – 22 persons. The registration of competition parameters was performed by watching and analyzing video records of final rounds. Coaches and boxing experts assessed the technical and tactical skills of athletes. Results. There is a quite close positive correlation (p &< 0.05) between an expert assessment of fighting actions and the parameters of boxers’ activity in the deficiency of time registered during 2016–2018. We established a specific content of the attacks and counter-attacks used by boxers, their frequency and efficiency. This allowed us to classify technical and tactical actions on the basis of the situation in the final round. Conclusion. These parameters define the approaches to preparation and the possibilities of their variation in a particular fight. This provides creating a favorable fighting situation and realizing a boxer’s personality in typical positions and situations, which can arise during the confrontation and serve as material for the preparation to competitions.
