Abstract

The article deals with the essence of the process of training cadets for military professional activity, as a complex multifunctional, purposeful, systematic process of social development. This phenomenon is analyzed in the system of concepts “training”, “activity”, “professional activity”, “military activity”. The authors conclude that military professional activity is not limited only to the formal exercise of duties in accordance with the development of knowledge, skills, and competence, but is a more complex form of manifestation of human qualities, worldview, system of norms and values formed under the influence of the multifactorial environment in which the cadet lives. The article substantiates the importance of the application and research in the sociological science of the concept of “preparation for military professional activity” as opposed to the concept of “military professional training”. In conclusion, there is given the author’s definition of “preparation for military professional activity” based on various approaches.
