Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the difference between fun factors, sports commitment, and continuous participation level according to demographic characteristics of winter sports participants. This study surveyed 328 college students participating in winter sports in 2019 using the non-probability sampling method using the convenience sampling method. So, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and MANOVA analysis were performed using SPSS 25.0. First, there were differences in competency perception, body development, cognitive commitment, and behavioral commitment according to gender. Second, there was a difference in the word of mouth intention to re-engage cognitive commitment depending on the selected class. Third, there was a difference in environmental conditions, physical development, cognitive commitment, re-involvement intention, and oral intention according to class classification. Based on the results of this study, each characteristic of winter sports participants was identified. Accordingly, as the number of people visiting ski resorts has recently declined, it is judged that ski facilities will need to analyze these characteristics and additionally arrange the facilities.
