Abstract
The article highlights the problem of the national-patriotic education of the younger generation. In the national-patriotic upbringing of children of senior preschool age, we understand the integrative quality of a subject that suggests an emotionally positive attitude towards oneself as an individual and towards Motherland, an active, responsible, conscious attitude towards native land, the desire to master the language as the main value of people, the ability to realize oneself as a part of the Ukrainian people. At the stage of preschool childhood, the emotional component plays a leading role, since these are emotions that mainly regulate the child's behavior and influence the formation of the intellectual sphere. In our opinion, a significant role in the upbringing of the national-patriotic feelings of children of senior preschool age is played by musical and speech activities, because music is primarily aimed at the child’s inner emotional experience, fulfills a cognitive role. The article describes the essence of the method of education of national-patriotic feelings of senior preschoolers in musical and speech activities, which was carried out in stages according to the three components (cognitive, which provided the child with awareness of songs of different genres, musical instruments, composers, songwriters, traditions and rituals connected to sings, emotional, aimed at developing the child’s feelings, and productively active, which envisioned the child’s desire to participate in music and didactic games, musical entertainment, quests, make up stories and fairy tales).
