Abstract
The author’s research provides an analysis of the current state of the energy intensity of the Russian economy. The analysis of the total energy consumption of the leading countries of the world in terms of consumed energy resources is carried out. The author conducted a comparative analysis of the volume of energy consumption and the level of energy intensity of the Russian economy. Having considered the consumption of energy resources by sectors of the economy, the author analyzed the contribution of the technological factor by sectors of the economy.
