Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the phenomenological approach of Edmund Husserl, his theoretical and methodological foundations, and the key principles of his philosophy with an emphasis on epistemological and ontological aspects. The article examines the main concepts of the founder of the phenomenological tradition, examines the influence of the philosopher’s ideas on modern areas of philosophy, including hermeneutics, poststructuralism and cognitive science. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the updated interpretation of the phenomenology of the German scientist, taking into account the latest achievements of the philosophy of consciousness and analytical philosophy. As a result, the work demonstrates how phenomenology can serve as an actual methodology for analyzing modern epistemology and ontology, and also develops proposals for integrating Husserl’s ideas into current philosophical and scientific discussions.
