Abstract

The paper presents the results of the analysis of the manifestations of metalanguage reflection in the artistic texts of absurdist aesthetics. The study of the phenomena of metalanguage, in the specific case of the phenomena of linguistic absurdity, acting as a metalanguage code, allows us to assert that the language of fiction is a direct embodiment of the creative metalanguage reflection of the author, whose metalanguage activity provides a solution to a wide range of textual problems: from the selection of lexical means and syntactic constructions to the construction of deep semantic allusions that create a meaningful polyphony of a literary text.
