Abstract
The relevance of this work is due to the need to study the ideological function of the state, which has not yet received proper coverage in legal science. Various manifestations of the ideological function, including its manifestation in the national anthem, require research. The national anthem must be considered as a unity of text, music, performance, regulations and ritual of its reproduction. Purpose. Show the manifestation of the ideological function of the state in the national anthem. Identify and analyze the ideological functions of the national anthem. Methodology. The main research methods were formal-legal, which was required to establish the legal status of the national anthem; comparative law, which made it possible to compare the texts of various hymns; a method of hermeneutics necessary for the textual analysis of anthem. Results. The place of the ideological function in the general system of state functions has been established. Its features are named. The elements of manifestation of the ideological function of the state in the national anthem are highlighted. The anthem is considered as an ideological phenomenon, acts as a political and ideological symbol of the state. A change in ideology causes a change in the national anthem, which is illustrated by examples. Conclusion. Recognizing the importance of the ideological function of the state, it is necessary to continue its research, including the manifestation of this function in the national anthem. When studying a hymn, it is necessary to analyze not only the text, but also other components.
