Abstract
The article examines the trends in the development of consumer preferences for meat and meat products. During the analysis of the structure of the food market, consumer surveys and research on production technology and consumption statistics, the main patterns of changing preferences of domestic consumers were identified. The data on the dynamics, structure, volumes of production and consumption of meat and meat products are presented. The data on the volumes of meat and meat products consumption recommended by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and their actual consumption are presented. Statistical data illustrating the dynamics of the volume of state support for agricultural producers are presented.
