Abstract

The topical problems and the corresponding psychological assistance of Ukrainian migrant students have been updated in the article.The disclosure of the content and process aspects of the organization of psychological and pedagogical support for migrant students have been considered in view of the determination of the main problems and those spheres of life that affect the changing of conditions of living and studying. The peculiarities of academic, social, economic and psychological difficulties accompanying the process of adaptation to the new environment and the multicultural environment have been analyzed.It has been emphasised on the directions and content of psychological support for migrant students in their desire to optimize the environment of their own self-realization. The psychological problems have been recognized as the main stressor for a migrant student. The most expedient way of solving the main problems is to use the experience of foreign countries, however, on the condition of its adaptation to domestic, cultural and social peculiarities, ethnic instincts. The organization of educational work, psychological support and psychological and pedagogical support of migrant students deserves a special attention.The formation of guidelines for adapting to the new conditions of life, overcoming the consequences of psycho-physiological trauma, stress, social apathy, loss of faith in the future on the basis of a positive perception of reality, learning the ability to actualize optimally the internal and external conditions of optimal self-realization in the educational environment of a new institution of higher education have been recognized as the priority directions.
