Abstract
lmensky Klint” on the territory of the Southern Ilmen region is a complex extended natural monument of regional importance, an ornithological monument of international importance. This valuable geological object is actively being destroyed and requires the close attention of many specialists. The article shows that despite the good accessibility of research objects and the existing scientific research on various topics, no emphasis was placed on studying the geodynamic situation of a specially protected natural area — the Ilmensky Klint. A brief qualitative assessment of the condition of the Ilmensky Klint is given based on the results of reconnaissance observations. A set of available measures is recommended to save this unique geological object in the north-west of Russia
