Abstract
In this article the terminological substance of the concepts of the conceptual world picture, language world picture and artistic world picture is refi ned. Some occasional changes in the semantic structure of the intertextual set expressions in the 20th century English and Ukrainian fi ction are analyzed. The outstanding features in the nature of the national and cultural motivation of the semantic changes in such occasional intertextual set expressions are compared with the stable ones.
