Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find meaning through a philosophical approach for elementary moral subject education methodology being developed by the elementary school teacher training university.
 Methods: To this end, the teachers’role in elementary moral subjects and elementary moral subject education as subject education were explored philosophically. In addition, the role of professors and students in the elementary moral education methodology derived from the feature of elementary moral subject education and teachers was examined.
 Results: As a result, each item has a dual feature. It was confirmed that a clear understanding of this is required by all members.
 Conclusion: Based on this understanding, the research first, explored the dual feature of elementary moral subjects and teachers, secondly, it confirmed the role of professors and students in elementary moral education methodology, and thirdly, there was emphasis placed on the meaning of a new dimension beyond the general level of each item and participant.
