Abstract

The article deals with the peculiarities of introducing the elements of dual education into the professional training of future specialists in social work on the example of the activity of the Department of Sociology and Social Work of the State Technical University of Azov. It is stated that dual education was introduced as a form and method of education in the middle of the 20th century and is now actively used in the countries of the European Union. For domestic theory and practice of higher education pedagogy, this model of training future employees is also not new. But, in the modern society, the introduction of elements of dual education is acquiring new, relevant features. This is primarily due to the use of dual education elements in the preparation of future social work professionals. In the article the peculiarities of development of the specialty Social work in the conditions of difficult socio-economic situation are analyzed. The innovative character, interdisciplinarity and practical orientation of training of future social workers in the conditions of higher education institutions were noted. Emphasis is placed on the importance of introducing dual education elements in the preparation of future social workers. As an example, the experience of introducing a new form of work with students at the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the Azov State Technical University – volunteer practice. The first two years of the activity of the professional scientific-practical group "Social work in action" are analyzed and the results of the survey of students studying at the OPP "Social work" at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education are presented. It is noted that participation in the activity of the group during the school hours helps to increase the level of interest of students in the future specialty and increase the level of success in mastering vocationally-oriented disciplines. Therefore, in the modern society it is important to make the training of future social workers more practical, including through the introduction of elements of dual education.
