Abstract
The article deals with current trends in the prevention of theft and theft of vehicles by employees of internal Affairs agencies. Based on the study of the practical activities of the police in this area, as well as the study of the regulatory framework, the author identifies a number of problems in the prevention of attacks on transport. As a result, ways to solve existing problems and improve the prevention of theft and theft of vehicles are proposed.

Анализ проводимых предупредительных мер, направленных на профилактику посягательств на транспортные средства, показал, что правоохранительные органы на современном этапе не в полной мере осуществляют деятельность по предупреждению преступлений, в связи с этим необходимо образование самостоятельного государственного органа, в компетенцию которого будет включено лишь осуществление профилактических мер, направленных на борьбу с преступлениями и административными правонарушениями, о чем наука криминология говорит уже многие годы
Summary
— профилактические беседы с лицами, наиболее подверженными совершению в отношении них хищений автотранспорта, информирование потенциального потерпевшего о способах совершения хищений транспортных средств и способах эффективной защиты своего автомобиля от преступных посягательств; — профилактические беседы с лицами, склонными к совершению преступлений, в том числе и хищений транспортных средств, информирование данных лиц о негативных последствиях совершения преступления и о неотвратимости наказания за его совершение; — проведение проверок по месту жительства подучетных лиц, что затрудняет совершение данными лицами преступлений, в том числе краж и угонов транспортных средств;
