Abstract
The research focuses on the analysis of communicative and program-oriented approaches in the field of patriotic education and their practical implementation at the regional level. The purpose of this study is to determine the features and significance of patriotic education in the Nizhny Novgorod region. As part of the work, key parameters of the activities of public authorities at various levels aimed at supporting and developing patriotism both in the Russian Federation as a whole and in a particular region were identified. Special attention is paid to the contribution of civil society institutions to the process of patriotic education in the region and development of the relevant institution. Research interest is also evident in the context of youth policy. The results of the study highlight the experience of the regional policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region in the following aspects: continuous improvement of the institute of patriotic education in accordance with the conditions created by the regional apparatus of public authority; a communicative, program-oriented approach as the foundation of patriotic education in the region; challenges and trends typical for the Russian Federation as a whole in the context of the transformation of the unipolar world, determine specific parameters for the public authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod region in the field of support and development of patriotism; identification of prospects for development of the institute of patriotic education in the region; expansion of the communicative approach between civil society institutions and public authori ties contributes to the strengthening of patriotic fundamentals in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
