Abstract
The article deals with the experiment held among the students of Astrakhan State University, the aim of which was clarifying the components of the “Caspian” concept in different ethnic groups’ representation, the secondary Russian speakers. Methods: observation, comparison, associative linguistic and linguocultural experiment, elements of statistical analysis in the processing of questionnaires and monitoring results. The results of the experiment are given, associations of different ethnic representatives are com-pared, conclusions about different axiological dominants and preferences of ethnic groups living in the Caspian countries are drawn.
