Abstract

The article considers certain contradictions between the profound scientific and methodological tradition of future foreign language teachers' training and modern educational tools for training foreign language teachers under current conditions of new challenges. Such a contradiction requires a revision of technological tools that could be used in the process of linguistic and methodological competence development in future foreign language teachers. In the course of the research, the author defines technologization as a very profitable pedagogical tool (forms, methods, techniques, tools, resources, etc.), which, on the one hand, allow considering the individual potential of future foreign language teachers, and on the other - should be focused on the development of linguistic and methodological competence within a pedagogical system. The researcher gives detailed requirements and groups methodological criteria to be met for selection such tools that will allow influencing the level of linguistic and methodological competence development in future foreign language teachers (conceptuality, system approach, controllability, efficiency, reproducibility, dynamism, prospects). The researcher also adds specific requirements relevant in the context of future foreign language teachers' training. Those requirements should become a reference point to select such a technological set that will be implemented into the system of linguistic and methodological competence development in future foreign languages teachers in the process of their professional training. Prospects for further research involve the development of guidelines for the practical implementation of the suggested technological set in the process of professional training of future foreign language teachers.
