Abstract
The purpose of the article is to present the thesis of the original author's concept of the transciviliza-tional continuity of the Bosporus kingdom in the context of the teachings of N.Ya. Danilevsky about cultural and historical types. The authors come to the conclusion that the ancient Bosporan fusion of influences from various civilizations and overlays of many cultural horizons should be considered as a transcivilizational continuity of the Bosporan king-dom. In this we should look for the main criteria of the Russian cultural and historical type.
