Abstract

Mariya Yovcheva, Dimitar Dimitrov: The Identification of the Slavonic Fragments Fb6+Fb17:3 of the National Library of Sweden The subject of this survey is the contents of the Russian fragments Fb6+Fb17:3, which were defined in some previous studies (Sjöberg 1981, Steensland 2005) as a part of Octoechos (although marked with a question mark). The identification of the texts, based on Slavonic and Greek printed editions, reveals that all the parchment sheets belonged to a Horologion (Ὡρολόγιον), a specific and very popular liturgical book in the Orthodox tradition. Two of the services – for the third and the sixth mesoria have the specific features of the new redaction of the Horologion (according to the Jerusalem typicon) which was layed in the Slavic practice after the liturgical and literary reforms during the 14th century. That is the reason for a later dating of fragments Fb6+Fb17:3. The deciphered text is published here.
