Abstract

The appeal to the concept of “ethos” is due to the ever-increasing interest in the boundaries and ultimate foundations of the human. There are two levels of understanding ethos: philosophical-anthropological and sociological. Ethos, or individual aspects of what can be directly included in the phenomenon of ethos, has been considered in philosophical anthropology and social philosophy. The concept of “ethos” and the entire body of its attributes at the philosophical and sociological level can serve as the basis of a methodology for considering the ultimate foundations and boundaries of the human, which is extremely important in the context of the dehumanization of social, cultural and humanitarian processes.
