Abstract

The article explores interdiscourse markers in the Russian-English mining discourse corpus. The research is based on the existing classification of scientific and didactic interdiscourse markers by A.A. Gordievskiy. The study found that markers characteristic of the scientific style, such as quoting and noun phrases, cannot be considered interdiscourse markers in a technical text. In addition, the research reveals technical discourse inherent features of such interdiscourse markers as allusions, indirect speech, references, collective symbols and foreign language links. Based on the research results, the author proposes a classification of technical interdiscourse intertextual markers. The results of the study are applicable in linguodidactics as well as in mining industry CAT and automated translation systems development.
