Abstract

This article provides a comparative analysis of pleonasm in the Kyrgyz and Turkish languages. Pleonasm, as a linguistic phenomenon, continues to attract the interest of researchers because of its features and functional significance. The purpose of this study is to identify the main types of pleonasm in both languages, their semantic and syntactic characteristics, as well as to analyze the causes of their occurrence. Pleonasm is a linguistic phenomenon in which an expression contains redundant information or synonymous elements are used together. The study of the features of pleonasms in various languages makes it possible to understand their role in the linguistic system and culture of the people. In this article, a comparative analysis of the pleonasms of the Kyrgyz and Turkish languages will be carried out in order to identify their similarities and differences. The use of pleonasms in sentences and their predominance in vocabulary will be discussed in detail using examples.
