사서직의 직업 이미지에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 사서들의 주관성 연구를 통해 사서들이 지각하는 사서직 이미지의 유형과 구조를 식별하고, 그 차이점과 유사점을 탐구하려는 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 Q-방법론이 적용되었으며, 사서들을 대상으로 한 개방형 서면조사와 관련문헌의 조사를 통해 35개의 진술문이 구성되었고, 24명의 공공 및 대학도서관 사서들이 참여하였다. 본 연구의 결과 독특하지만 상호 배타적이지 않은, 현재의 시공간적 맥락을 반영한 4개의 사서직 이미지 유형, 즉 1) 사서직에 양면 가치적인 감정을 가지고 있는 현실인식형 2) 자긍심형 3) 정보기술 수용의 진보형 4) 현실비판형 등으로 식별되었다. 결과적으로 이들은 모두 사서직에 대해 전반적으로 긍정적 이미지를 가지고 있으며, 이들은 사회적으로 적합성 있는 서비스를 개발해야 한다는 사서직의 사회적 역할과 정보문제해결의 조력자라는 측면을 사서직 이미지로 공유하고 있었다. This study is an attempt to explore the professional image of librarianship through librarians' subjectivity using Q-methodology based on intraindividual difference in significance. The study identified four types of the professional image of librarianship and discussed their relationship; the ambivalent, the prideful, the advanced, and the critical. Each types are unique, not inter-exclusive characteristics reflected the context of the present. Also, all types have a positive image toward the librarianship.
