Abstract
In presented paper the authors consider the process of fi rst-year students’ adaptation as higher school’s psychological and pedagogical problem. The paper authors identify such forms of activity approach as training (training occupations) and design activity qua optimization adaptation methods. Also in the paper the
 attention has been paid to an assessment of efficiency related to psychological and pedagogical work with first year students, in particular, to adaptation training.
