A small number of studies have examined sleep/wake patterns over the transition from high school to college. Coming from different angles, both of these studies point out that the relationship between stress, coping strategies, and sleep remains unclear and may be crucial to understanding how older adolescents successfully regulate their sleep/wake patterns over the emerging adulthood transition.
