Abstract

This article is devoted to the collections of the heritage left by the topographer, researcher and scientist-photographer Leon Barshevsky during his trip to Central Asia, which are currently being collected by descendants, including the collection stored in the documentary fund of the Bukhara State Museum-Reserve. The article lists the formation of the collection and the reasons for its appearance. It also gives a special description of some of the exhibits in the photographer’s collection, explaining their importance. The focus is mainly on ethnographic aspects and historical figures, their relationship with the photographer. The article also contains photos of the exhibition organized at the museum and the visit of famous generations of L. Barshchevsky to Bukhara, as well as information about the enrichment of the museum collection
