Abstract
This article determines main indicators characterizing the level of ecological safety in agricultural production. The most serious threats to environmental safety in agrarian production are analyzed. The strategy of “Public Environmental Policy of Ukraine for the Period until 2020” is investigated and the main mechanisms for implementing public regulation of the national environmental policy are determined according to this strategy. A progressive mechanism for implementing public regulation of the environmental safety of agricultural production at the local and central levels is proposed.
