Abstract
The coefficient for assessing the optimality of the route by the criterion of minimum passenger travel time - the coefficient of reference of spatial-geometric characteristics of the route has been developed. Formulas for calculating the coefficient for the entire route, as well as for a single line, and for a section consisting of several lines are proposed.
