Abstract
The study of concepts can be considered one of the current directions in modern linguistics. This is evidenced by numerous theoretical studies of the concept, as well as a significant number of works devoted to describing specific concepts in different languages. This article discloses the notional content of the concept "robot," revealed by the analysis of Russian-speaking and English-speaking lexicographic sources.
