Abstract

This research attempts to screen and classify conjunctions of Modern Chinese by each level only for Korean Chinese learners. To this end, we looked through the textbooks used in Chinese language education by each level to find out which conjunction learners are learning from. However, it was confirmed that there were many differences in the lexical items presented by each textbook and the levels presented. In addition, we examined the outline of Chinese language education between Korea and China, but we also found many differences in the outline of Chinese language education between the two countries. This confirmed that Korean Chinese pedagogy need a proper classification of conjunctions of modern Chinese by each level. Therefore, the conjunctions that should be presented to Korean Chinese learners were selected, and the lower items of vocabulary were reclassified according to the internal structure, and the conjunctions were designed by each level through difficulty-scale rating and frequency of use. As a result, it was analyzed that 18 items should be presented in the beginning, 26 items in the intermediate, and 8 items in the advanced.
