Abstract

The article identifies the features of management in the ship's crew, the psychological principles of management of the ship's crew, the factors that affect the quality of management on board and suggested ways to solve these problems. The concepts of social deprivation and the psychological climate of the ship's crew were defined. An important problem in the management of the ship is the specific working conditions of the crewmembers. The quality of work performed by crewmembers depends on these conditions. Thanks to technical progress, some of the negative factors have receded, but many remain. Working on a ship is a very difficult and dangerous process, so any gaps in ship management can be critical. According to the head of the State Maritime and Annual Transport Service of Ukraine Dmytro Petrenko, more than 200.000 Ukrainian sailors work on foreign ships, which indicates that the problems of ship management are extremely important for Ukraine as a maritime state.
