The article deals with the problems of improving the professional training of students in the field of management. The relevance of the research topic is due to the fact that in today's business environment, human capital is becoming an increasingly valuable resource for any organization. If a company has an efficient and satisfied team, it can ensure stable development and competitiveness in the market. Given that the process of formulating and implementing a strategy is directly influenced by the qualitative characteristics of people, mistakes made can lead to a loss of investment. Therefore, the management mechanism should adapt to changes in the structure of the enterprise, the organization of production interaction of personnel and the content of work to ensure the formation of professional abilities, rotation of personnel not only within different divisions of the organization, but also between them. It is determined that a modern manager should have the ability to learn and relearn as needed, find non-standard ways to solve professional problem situations, possess a wide range of competencies, and apply self-management tools in order to achieve the expected goals in the most efficient way through the rational use of their own resources and capabilities. After all, some issues still remain outside the scope of modern scientific research. It can be assumed that the use of self-management tools in the training of future managers is becoming part of the human resources and educational sphere under the influence of changes in the labor market due to the requirements of a changing environment.
