РЕАЛІЗАЦІЯ КОНЦЕПТУ ЗАГРОЗА В МОВІ ТА МОВЛЕННІ

Abstract

The article considers the concept THREAT from cognitive and corpus linguistics perspective. It aims at determining the key name of the concept under study. The focus is also on the elements that make the meaning of the lexeme «threat» that verbalizes the concept. The four main semes are singled out. The distribution potential of the lexeme «threat» is realized in different combinations. The most common are the combinations with the prepositions, adjectives and verbs. Being a component of a phraseological unit is not common for the lexeme «threat». Analysis of the word valence allows us to defi ne the quality, the kind of threat, those who pose threat and those who are under threat. The concept is regarded as a «quantum» of structured knowledge. Dictionary entries analysis makes it possible to model the structure of the concept THREAT. It is represented by a subject and action frame. Lexical units fi lling in the frame slots are considered.
