Abstract

The paper is devoted to technologies of mediators-translators/interpreters in the professional activity – translation and resolving conflicts. The relevance of this research is confirmed with contradictions:-between the necessity to teach mediators – translators/interpreters at language universities of country and the lack of the pedagogical system and its technologies; – between global processes in the world and the citizen identification of every nationality that tries to save its values, language and customs. The purpose of the paper is to describe technologies of mediators-translators/interpreters at the language university. The methodology of the study is based on the method of analysis and synthesis of scientific literature in pedagogy, psychology, cultural studies, linguistics, on the conflicts-classification, on the method of linguistic comparison, on the method of observing the behavior of native speaker. In the paper is described the activity of mediator-translator/interpreter who resolves conflicts on the level of nonverbal behavior, in the process of translation of precedent names and statements and concepts. Mediator-translator/interpreter must have following competences: pluricultural-global and meditative. The main technology of pluricultural-global competence is the formulation and the interpretation of pluricultural concepts range. The technologies of the mediative competence are: 1) tolerance; 2) reframing; 3) prohibitions for mediator-translator/interpreter; 4) description of stereotyped nonverbal behavior; 5) the translation of precedent names and statements; 6) the translation of concepts. The ideas described in the paper might be used by lecturers who deliver lectures and conduct seminars in translation and pluricultural communication.
