Abstract

The subject of consideration in the article is the autobiographical dimension of the novel of Vitalii Bender “Pugalovskа Station”. Particular attention is paid to the chronotype of the work, which is a vivid testimony to the author's transformations of autobiographical material. It was established that the time-space boundaries of the novel “Pugalovskа Station” reproduce the situation of the pre-war town in the territory of modern Donetsk region, in which conditions Vitalii Bender spent his childhood and youth. The autobiographical work of Vitalii Bender is aimed at creating a peculiar philosophy of creative memory, the essence of which is the salvation of life images from the power of time. Recalling, the writer overcomes death, repeatedly depicted in his novel – the death of relatives, friends, acquaintances. The artist scribbles their names into eternity, thus typing them into a special being – being in the word. He semiotizes as his own existence, and forever lost the happy life of a precinct town in the Donetsk region, turning it into text and separating it from the action of time. The causal dominant of the autobiographical act of Vitalii Bender is the desire to preserve its own “true”, childhood, preserving it in the memories of adolescence.
