Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationship model of leisure function, self-esteem and family life satisfaction of participants in sports for all. To achieve the goal of this study, a total 201 surveys collected in Seoul and Gyeong-gi area were utilized for analyzing. Data were analyzed by frequency analysis and internal consistency analysis to determine demographic characteristics. After that, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling were used. Main findings were as follows: First, leisure function of Sports for All participants had a positive effect on self-esteem. Second, self-esteem of Sports for All participants had a positive effect on family life satisfaction. Third, leisure function of Sports for All participants had a positive effect on family life satisfaction. Fourth, self-esteem mediated the relationship between leisure function and family life satisfaction. Therefore, this study suggests that continuous participation in Sports for All for oneself is necessary as a way to increase one's value and satisfaction with the family through the net function of leisure.
