Abstract

Aim. To provide clinicians with a systematic review of the available information regarding the use of menopausal hormone therapy in women with induced menopause due to combined treatment of ovarian cancer. Key points. Ovarian cancer is the eighth most common and seventh leading cause of cancer death. Menopausal hormone therapy is effective in correcting menopausal disorders, but its safety for patients who have had ovarian cancer is questioned. Conclusion. In patients with a history of ovarian cancer, menopausal hormone therapy is currently thought to improve overall survival and has little to no effect on progression-free survival. However, due to the lack of information, the reliability of the results obtained requires further research in this area. Keywords: ovarian cancer, epithelial ovarian cancer, serous ovarian cancer, iatrogenic menopause, hormone replacement therapy.
