Abstract

Identifying emotions by facial expressions in the testimony of a minor seems to be a fairly easy process. However, the identification of emotions is based on an understanding of many complex physiological and psychological processes, and on the ability to perceive, analyze and interpret their emotional reflection in the facial expressions of the person being interviewed. The aim of the study is to determine the role of emotion recognition by facial expressions in the testimony of minors, to identify factors influencing the analyzed process and the specifics of emotion recognition by facial expressions in the testimony of minors. As a result of the study, a number of conclusions were formulated. The facial expressions of a minor testifying can give a lot of useful information to a person who is able to perceive and interpret it. Careful perception and analysis of the emotions of a minor, taking into account the features of identifying emotions by facial expressions identified in the study, will significantly increase the effectiveness of the process of recognizing emotions by facial expressions in the testimony of minors.
