Abstract

Environmental monitoring of two major rivers of the Chechen Republic, such as the Terek and the Sunzha, from 2013 to 2017 revealed that the hydrochemical composition of river water meets the requirements of hygiene standards. Water analysis was performed according to the following parameters: permanganate oxidability, dissolved oxygen, dry residue, biological oxygen demand (BOD5). The content of chloride, nitrate and sulfate ions also met the hygiene standards
