Abstract

In this article, the author examines the problem of interregional differentiation of the socio-economic development of the regions of the Russian Federation, which during 2010-2019. remains quite significant. The directions of its dynamics in the conditions of economic growth and the crisis of the country's economy are determined: until 2015 it was decreasing, and then there was a tendency to increase. These trends were identified based on the analysis of the scatter coefficients for key indicators (GRP per capita, total industrial production per capita, investment in fixed assets per capita, etc.) at the level of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The main reasons for the identified dynamics are the lack of an effective mechanism and effective tools for the implementation of various programs for the balanced development of territories, which led to the fact that the differences in the level of socio-economic development of the regions of the Russian Federation not only do not decrease, but become stronger. All this testifies to the ineffectiveness of the state regional economic, investment and social policy pursued by the authorities.
