Abstract

The article discusses methods of introducing new special vocabulary into non-specialized publications that are relevant at the adaptation stage: commenting, interpretation, translation of foreign language terms, time markers of novelty, the use of the combination tak nazyvaemyi (what is known as) or participle nazyvaemyi (known as), quotation marks, lists of characteristics, synonyms, comparisons or analogies, abbreviation deciphering, indication of the term in the source language. The author, applying contextual and semantic analysis, reveals the phenomenon of false synonymy within terms: the substitution of synonyms by units in hypo-hyperonymic relations.
