Abstract

The research was carried out in 2020–2022 in three natural and climatic zones of the Caspian region: plain, foothill and mountainous. The objects of the study were the heart, diaphragm, skeletal muscles, chewing muscles, esophagus, tongue, lungs, submucosa of the ventricles of 120 slaughtered domestic goats and intestinal sections of 12 cadavers of dogs. Monitoring of the regional features of the epizootic process and sanitary and hygienic problems of the implementation of the parasitic dyad «Taenia ovis – Cysticercus ovis» in the «dog – domestic goat» system in the subjects of the Caspian region was carried out by the method of complete and incomplete helminthological autopsy according to K. I. Skryabin (1928). The results of the study allowed us to expand the range of main indicators – indices of occurrence and abundance of the cestode Taenia ovis in dogs and larvocysts Cysticercus ovis in domestic goats. According to the epizootic situation, the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District for cysticercosis (finnosis) of domestic goats can be attributed to the disadvantaged regions of Russia and to the zone of regional epizootic risk, since there is an increase in the number of dogs infected with imaginal Taenia ovis and domestic goats infected with Cysticercus ovis cysts.
