Abstract

A modern library specialist is a highly qualified specialist who is proficient not only in traditional library technologies and techniques, but also equally able to use information technologies, including web technologies. The paper discusses the methodology of teaching the discipline «Site Building», describes the practice of teaching it at the Orel State Institute of Culture for the direction of training 51.03.06 Library and information activities. The article analyzes topical issues of the use of web technologies in the professional activity of a librarian.
