Abstract
The article analyzes the current state of development of pig breeding in Russia and establishes the factors that determine the economic efficiency of the production and sale of pig meat. The role and importance of technological modernization in the intensification of the production of pig products and ensuring the expanded management of the industry are substantiated. Based on the analysis, measures are proposed to improve the economic efficiency and competitiveness of pig breeding.
