Abstract
The lungs of 12 pigs were studied with the aim to determine morphological changes, caused on a slaughtering with carbon dioxide stunning. Pulmonary alveoli edema and fullness of blood vessels were found. Pathological lesions typical for blood aspiration were not detected. Also veterinary and sanitary standards for meat and animal slaughter products were investigated to find recommendations on lungs utilization with fullness of blood vessels lesions.
