Abstract

The article reveals the relevance of folk pedagogy in the patriotic education of young people and defines its main means. The experience of national patriotic education is analyzed. The basic principles of folk pedagogy are highlighted. In the conditions of increasing negative trends that hinder the formation of true patriotism in Kyrgyzstan, it becomes obvious the need to use the experience of folk pedagogy in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism. Folk pedagogy – an integral part of collective folk art - includes the ideas of the people, reflects their ideals, worldview, the idea of educating a person, family, and the younger generation. Society can develop only when the elders pass on the experience gained by the younger ones. Acquiring this experience, each new generation deepens, develops and improves it, supplementing it with new knowledge, discoveries, inventions.
