Abstract

In the present research the author considers the development of views of modern sociologists on general theoretical issues of globalization in the context of management sociology. The author ex-trapolates the globalization discourse to the sociol-ogy of penitentiary prevention management. Based on the conducted analysis, the author comes to the conclusion that the features of the domestic penal system, based on the value-rational basis of its pre-vious experience, as well as informal traditions and customs, present a natural reaction to the total na-ture of global universalization. The modern system of penitentiary prevention management is based on the principle of preserving one’s identity within cer-tain (purely penitentiary) socio-cultural boundaries (representations). Fragmentation and individualiza-tion of social life (both of penitentiary social medi-um and of certain individuals) as a compensatory reaction determines the manifestation of patterns of solidary behavior in the system of penitentiary pre-vention management.
