Abstract

The purpose of this research provides how the relation between older elementary students’ deep attachment with parents affect the students’ friendship and self-efficacy. The study targets 187 from Grade 5th and 6th elementary students of four different schools; D, Y, S, and K, which are located in City of P. The study reaches the conclusion as follows: First, after examining the differences between sex and parents" attachment and friendship and self-efficiency by grade, the differences between sexes were higher than those between men, and no differences between grades. Second, the analysis of the correlation between attachment and friendship with parents and self-efficiency showed statistically significant correlation. Third, it was shown that attachment with parents had a significant effect on friendship, and that among the lower factors, it had a significant effect on the quality of parent communication and the sense of parental alienation. Lastly, it was shown that attachment with parents had a significant effect on self-efficiency, and that among the lower factors, it had a significant effect on the quality of parent communication and the sense of parental alienation.
