Abstract
It is practically impossible to ensure sustainable socio-economic development of the region without widespread use of the results of innovative activities. In turn, in order to achieve the necessary results in this area, it is necessary to set the right specific goals. Their presence allows you to see the directions of innovative development of the region and determine measures to achieve them. If it is impossible to objectively determine such goals, it is practically impossible to obtain concrete results of the innovative development of the region. Indeed, without knowing the direction of movement, to go and come somewhere specifically is an unsolvable task. Thus, there is an objective need to determine approaches, methods and methods for objectively determining the goals of innovative development of the region.
